Pazzo Pazzo - 2. 4 Photos & 1. Reviews - Italian - 7. Speedwell Ave, Morristown, NJ - Restaurant Reviews - Phone Number - Menu. I'll start by saying, I hate eating at Italian restaurants. But the convenience of Pazzo Pazzo and the timing we couldn't pass up. I'd been one other time years ago, and can't remember if we liked it or not, so we decided to go back. Pazzo Pizzeria Los Angeles; Pazzo Pizzeria, West Los Angeles; Get Menu, Reviews, Contact, Location, Phone Number, Maps and more for Pazzo Pizzeria Restaurant on Zomato. Pazzo is a new Italian restaurant in Red Bank serving a variety of traditional menu items, along with several unique family recipes and other creative fare. It was a pre movie meal as a family, so we are super early. We've just returned from a weeks vacation in Rome, so now the restaurant had 4 hard critics. We started with the fried calamari. It came with a marinara sauce and some kind of chutney. I wish I asked what it was, because I couldn't get enough to of it. As stated earlier, I don't like eating at Italian restaurants so I figured I'd be safe with the pizza. I ordered the white pizza, one son ordered the sausage pizza, the other pesto pasta which he had them add chicken too and my husband orders orichette with sausage and broccoli rabe. The pizza were good, wish they were a tad more well done (note to self) and my son who loves pesto said it needed more garlic. The orichette meal was cooked perfectly. Which from our Italy trip we now live and will never over cook pasta again. It seemed like it was even homemade, but that I'm not too sure of. We look forward to going back in warmer weather and eating outside. I was really disappointed last night. I had been to Pazzo Pazzo once before a couple years ago. Yesterday, we chose this spot to celebrate a birthday and made reservations to sit outside - table for 5. The area outside was decent and we were able to get a cute spot in the corner with half of the seating being a couch. Our waitress seemed nice and took our drink order, however, the rest of the staff seemed miserable. Every time we said thank you we got no reply, eye contact or even a smile. We had to ask several times for bread when all the tables around us - some who were seated after us - had received it. When the waitress brought our drinks over she split my martini on my dress and cell phone. She didn't even offer to bring me additional napkins. Everyone's order was on point and tasted great. Our bill was roughly $2. We gave our waitress $3. She came back, dropped off the check with our change inside. Only our change was around $3. One of our guests went up to her to tell her we were short and she pulled out the other half of our change. I guess she decided what kind of tip she was going to receive and took it. We couldn't believe it. Overall: Service = 1. Food = 4. Loved the outdoor seating area here for dinner. It's definitely has the mood lighting thing going there. The inside is nice too but in the summer you have to request the outdoor seating. It's actually quite good for larger groups. I ordered their trio salad and it was delicious! The endives were great. The desserts were really well made too. Tried the flourless chocolate cake, fruit with whipped cream, and tiramisu.
Prices are totally reasonable. My salad was only $1. Nice patio. Cocktails are varied and good. I had the chicken diavolo and despite the name it was spiceless. The escarole was cooked just right and they were gracious about substituting my potatoes for broccoli rabe which were cooked just to my liking. My husband had a good chopped salad accompanied by a somewhat flavorless risotto. Prices too high for the quality and flavor. Be careful - this place charged my credit card THREE times. Tried calling today, but they are closed. I'm obviously quite angry because this was a HUGE mistake and I'm glad I noticed. They also did the same to my friend who used her card as well. I expect a phone call back ASAP and a credit to my debit account ASAP! BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING YOUR CARD AT THIS PLACE. Pazzo Pazzo has an amazing outdoor space. Unfortunately, that's about all it has going for it. Every time I've come here, I've thought . I know that sounds like a compliment. In reality, it's annoyingly overwhelming to see a hundred different drinks. Now, this wouldn't be a big deal if the drinks were good. But every drink I've tried here was bad. If there are some good drinks buried in their menu, they should consider paring it down so customers might actually find them. The service is also sub- par here, they seem to be slow even when they're not busy, and they once charged my table $3. I forget the exact amount) for a pitcher of (mediocre) Sangria! Hopefully this place improves. There's too many good $$$ restaurants in Morristown to justify coming here. Even as a $$ restaurant, I wouldn't go here.*fried calamari (meh, it was alright but that golden raisin sauce!!!! That was by far the best part. Calamari itself was kind of chewy and overly breaded. Let's get back to that sauce, it was sweet and savory and unique. I actually poured that into my pizza too, which was probably a sin but I just needed more of that sauce in my life)*salsiccia pizza (homemade sweet sausage; it was alright, I'm not much of a sausage person but I guess for what this pizza stands for, it was decent)*selvatica (goat cheese and shitake mushrooms; meh, not bad. I've had better white pizza with mushrooms than this; I hate this pizza crust; it was way too hard; in addition, this pizza had like no love in it; you can't just dump on goat cheese and some sauteed mushrooms on there! Let's start from the beginning. We arrive with reservations for a large party. They say we can sit outside if another party doesn't arrive. Can't read the menu and can't see each other's faces. Then the waitress said they don't have any bread for us because everybody ate it all. She takes our drink orders and then begins to tell us that they don't have mussels, clams and something else. When she returns, she said they have no more lychee puree so we can't get that lychee martini. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! It's a busy Saturday night, you should have fuckin prepared better for this shit. Anyway, they somehow miraculously produce a bread and olive plate for us about 2. And tell me why 2 large slabs of butter is necessary for 2 tiny rolls. Ok, now let's talk about the food. The quality was not there and food didn't taste like they gave a crap. Only good points about this place.. The outdoor patio is really cute minus the poor lighting. Drink menu is quite extensive and honestly overwhelming. I think they should minimize their drink menu and keep it more simple. In addition, if your damn restaurant runs out of bread, just don't tell us and make us something else in the meantime. To me, this place is better just for drinks and happy hour and not for a sit- down dinner. Also, please invest in some lights. Will not be back. This is my absolute favorite place EVER!!! Never a miss here and the cocktails are ON POINT!!!. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! If you aren't going to this place for drinks and/or happy hour I would stay away. The bartenders do a nice job and the drinks are delicious. The food on the other hand is barely edible and even at half off prices for happy hour I recommend staying away from the food. The outdoor area provides a nice setting adds to the atmosphere. Wish I could give this place 3. All in all we had a really nice dinner but besides the beautiful outdoor patio, it just really wasn't anything special. And the drinks did take a long time to come out when the place wasn't that crowded. We really enjoyed the Crispy Polenta for an appetizer, and I can't complain about the chopped salad and Gemelli with shrimp pasta my friend and I shared. But it WAS very expensive and I'm not sure it was worth it. But I'm sure this is an awesome place for outdoor drinks on the patio! After our Elite Yelp party at Mr Chung's a group of us came here to Pazzo Pazzo. We had already eaten so we just wanted an after dinner drink. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and we sat at the bar. We all ordered a beer and my friend ordered a coffee. She was still trying to get warm. While we were at the bar I noticed a 3ft real pepper grinder. Our bartender proceeded to take it down and show us it really grinds fresh pepper. The pepper landed on the bar. Our bartender was very pleasant. This place is beautifully decorated and they have plenty of tables and booths. The atmosphere was very relaxing and romantic. There were beautiful votives strategically placed all over the room. The candle light really adds to the mood. My beer was perfect and my friends coffee tasted great . It came with fresh brown sugar cubes. Parking is either in the parking lot at the hotel across the street or around and up the corner on Prospect street. Beware, every road around here is one way.. This can be a pain at 5p. I will definitely return to try their food. I can not comment on the quality of the food - i never got to eat there. Most recently went here for an early Saturday afternoon dinner. We had a drink at the bar and then into the dining area. My previous visits here it was dark and moody, but this time it was broad daylight, exposing the tired, dated nature of the interior. They are certainly not doing any upkeep: walls all marked and scuffed up, broken glass panels near the service area, water stains on the ceiling with paint chips ready to fall, missing artwork on the walls, had to switch out my chair because I thought it was going to fall apart and the menus were beat to hell. The service was prompt and professional. It's heyday has come and gone. Pazzo needs an overhaul in my opinion. If you are looking for a little more upscale with a side of casual in the heart of Morristown, this is probably the best place. I haven't been here in a bit but when I do go, it's usually for outdoor fun. I've been here for work functions, engagement celebrations and just with a group of friends and always had a great time. I never had any issues with the food here and they have some great drinks as well. The only downside is the price, but it's a bit upscale so they can be excused for this. If you do have a problem with service here, always speak to the manager. They will be glad to help you out. Great place and nicer classier crowd compared to the main Morristown bar area.
